Hoodia Side Effects
Hoodia Side Effects - Hoodia Gordonii a cactus plant found thousands of miles away in the Cape Town of South Africa, has become incredibly beneficial for people all over the world. Centuries ago, the simple tribal folk of South Africa cultivated the plant so that they could chew it and satiate hunger and thirst for three to four days.
If you haven’t heard of Hoodia Gordonii, this could be an answer to prayer. This product is not a drug, so there are no dangerous side effects. Classified as a vegetable, this cactus-like plant has been used for centuries by Bushmen who used it to ward off hunger while on long journeys through the desert. It curbs the appetite by up to 2000 calories per day. The fact that you feel full and satisfied will give you the willpower to cut calories and achieve the rapid weight loss you desire. You owe it to yourself to lose weight the safe and healthy way.
Hoodia is not currently approved by the FDA as a diet pill or appetite suppressant but its classification as an herbal ingredient is not regulated. However, even though some studies indicate that hoodia is in fact an effective appetite suppressant, there is no scientific basis for this claim. Further, due to the protected nature of the hoodia plant, many manufacturers of herbal weight loss products may be making false claims as to the actual ingredients contained in their product.
Though it is believed, but not proven, that hoodia is a natural appetite suppressant, its possible side effects of long term use are also not proven. Some research has indicated that there are no potential side effects that would be caused by the amount digested during reasonable use. However, still further research has indicated that there could be harmful side effects pertaining to the liver with continued ingestion of hoodia.
There is not any other weight loss product on the market that has this much attention as far as being reliable and doing what it claims to do. As with any weight loss product or medication, it is going to affect everyone differently but Hoodia, seems to be one that affects nearly everyone who takes it, in nearly the same positive way. The weight loss of course will vary according to age, weight, possibly sex and maybe other factors are involved. Lifestyle is another difference. Many people exercise in one way or another and they will likely lose more quicker than others. Older people who are disabled in one way or another can not exercise like others and therefore their weight loss may be much less and it may take longer to lose the desired amount. However as the weight comes off, many will feel more like exercising more than they did when they were overweight. Weight can sneak up on them and before they know it, they do not feel like exercising. Also with so much stress of family, work, etc. in our lives, we tend to eat more than we need to survive.
So until there are more side effects reported, if there are any to report, people are going to continue to take Hoodia because it works for them.
